Beyond the Music RVA Series #7

We had a fantastic night at the Tobacco Company tonight with Fate and the Family Band, Andres Santamaria and The Bush League.  All incredible musicians and all with different styles.  It was a great mix of music.  We also had a really interesting proposal.  The day before BTM was scheduled, a gentleman contacted Elana Lisa and asked if her band could learn a song so he can sing it to his girlfriend and propose to her.  He wanted to reenact the scene from PS I Love You when the band played Galway Girl.  Of course Elana Lisa told him... "no problem".  So we learned the song and the plan was he would come up to the stage at 8:30 and we would start playing the song.  Well 8:50 rolls around and he never showed up so Elana looks at her phone and sees a text message stating "sorry, I can't make it tonight" and thought it was from this gentleman.  So she sighs into the microphone and then proceeds to tell the audience why she was sighing... because the guy couldn't come... then after that realizes that the text was NOT from him but from an old friend of hers.  So now she was flipping out hoping and praying she didn't ruin it for him.  About 5 minutes later she sees him walking up to the stage.  They meet in the back of the bar and he tells her, they just got there so... WHEW!! They didn't hear Elana talk about the proposal over the mic.  It went really well and we at Beyond the Music RVA wish them many years of happiness and making wonderful memories.  

This was Paul Coryell Bagley's first time VJing for Beyond the Music RVA and he did a wonderful job.  Can't wait to see the videos!!!  We at Beyond the Music miss Miss Brittany O'Neill but wish her well in her new adventures in California.  

We welcome another new staff member to Beyond the Music RVA... Mr. John Venable who will be helping with booking and promotions.  We are excited to have Paul and John join us!!!
