Born and raised in Woodbridge, Virginia, Joey began playing music at five years old on an organ that her family inherited. In the course of her travels, Joey began playing music in a Bluegrass band in Richmond with David Morley called, Coffee Stains and currently plays and travels with her childhood, best friend Sami Nichols in a band called the Poons. She considers her genre to be a combo of Folk, Acoustic and Polka and plays mostly originals with her own twist on a few covers. In the next couple of months, Joey plans to record a demo of accordion music while keeping up with her backpacking adventures.

Tina Marie & Vinyl Tease is Tina Marie on Vocals and Guitar, Mark (Fundog) Henderson on Drums, Dwayne (D$) Cabaniss on Vocals and Guitar and Tom Crosby on Vocals and Bass. Almost all the members are from the Richmond area and this incarnation of the band started in 2009, but many of them have played together in various bands for over 15 years. Tom and Tina met Mark through a Craigslist ad and played together as a trio for a while. When they met Dwayne (D$) the band was formed. They are products of various influences but they call their genre "Succotash", which is like Classic Pop or Rhythm and Rock. They play anywhere from 20 to 50 percent originals to covers, depending on the venue. Jennifer Drake, originally from Kentucky and now living in Richmond, Virginia started playing music at age 3 with anything she could get her hands on until her grandmother taught her more about music and singing in church taught her how the human voice could be an instrument. After piano lessons and majoring in music in college, Jennifer began composing music and even teaching sound design for over a decade before starting to perform her music in public. Members of the band Faceship have helped her along the way. Jennifer considers her music to be World Music, as in songs of life that are comical, tragedy, spiritual, philosophical and metaphorical. In the future Jennifer will be collaborating with several artists on songwriting, composing sound designs for video games, recording solo workJoining her on Guitar and Vocals is Corey Axt with Matt Tolson on Drums.

Paulo Franco got into playing music seriously in 2006, after having taken guitar lessons as a youth and picking up the '79 Strat that he still has. His other bands included the Tin Foil Militia and the Lost Souls. He formed the Rateros to focus on his original music. Paulo also plays Bass with the band Luz Del Sol and Acoustic Guitar for Workhorse Blues. Paulo has lived all over the Richmond area but he hails originally from the D.C. area. He plays mostly originals and he describes his music as Alt Country, Americana. His plans for the future include Recording a second album or EP and playing some out of town shows.

All the members of Brother Bill hail originally from in and around Farquier County, Virginia. They have Dan Mulrooney on Lead Guitar and Vocals, Aaron Delong on Rhythm Guitar and Vocals, Pat Mulrooney on Drums and Vocals and Alex Berklovich on Bass and Vocals. Brother Bill began as a trio composed of Dan and Pat, and former bass player, Bill Patchett. Despite not having a solid band during their college years, they had been playing continuously since high school. When asked to play a pub party, they decided on the name Brother Bill for the gig and kept it ever since. They play a mix of covers and originals for the long winded shows but they prefer to play their own music. They consider their genre to be either "Punk & Roll" or "Folky Alt Rock". They plan to continue playing out while working on selling their debut CD, which was just released online last February. They are also preparing to release an EP and begin touring sometime in March.

All the members of String Swing live in the Richmond area and have been playing music all their lives. String Swing is made up of, Connor Thompson on Guitar, Johnathan Wheelock on Bass and Cy Taggart on Guitar and Vocals. String Swing is a unique project playing Blues and Swing era music with only stringed instruments. Their intention is to continue playing out as much as possible.

The Northerners hail from, in and around the Richmond area so be sure not to call them "Yankees". Justin Khoury on Vox/Guitar/Piano, his sister Ally on Vox, George Gilliam on Drums, Taylor Laub on Bass with Anderson Gould on Lead Guitar. They play 50/50 covers to originals but all of it is their own unique brand of Folk Rock. They plan to continue playing throughout Richmond, including such venues as The Camel, The Republic, The Yerb and The Hippodrome until they can release their upcoming EP in December.

L.J. Rafalko on guitar and Justin Poroszok on Bass... LJ started playing music in 3rd or 4th grade. He started out with saxophone and then moved on to guitar. LJ grew up as a "Bridge & Tunnel" New Yorker, which means, he is from New Jersey. He has lived in Virginia, the Museum District, for about a year. He has a three piece band up in Philadelphia known as "Various Eggs". LJ and Justin played together, for a spell in an Art Noise, Avant Garde, Jazz Experimental band where LJ recognized that Justin was a serious and versatile musician. LJ PLays mostly original compositions with a few, "left field" covers mixed in here and there. He describes his music as "Post-Surf, Folk & SloMetal"... in other words, whatever category Nick Cave and Bad Seeds would fit into. It's a sound described by LJ's drummer as Johnny Cash meets Interpol. LJ's future plans include finishing up his EP for future release.

One Night Standard is composed of Alex Hall and Luke Booth on guitar and vocals, Greg Nye on bass and Tyler Booth on drums. Tyler, Luke and Greg are all from the West End of Richmond and Alex is from Mechanicsville. As brothers, Luke and Tyler had been playing music together for several years. Luke and Greg played together in a Metal band for a short time in high school. After meeting in college, Luke and Alex began playing and writing music then upon graduation, they discovered there was a perfect musical chemistry with Greg and Tyler. Soon thereafter, One Night Standard was born, in June of 2012. They categorize their music as Progressive, Experimental Funk and they intend on playing all original music. Susan was born in Richmond and grew up in Midlothian, Virginia. She started writing songs as a kid, sang in the church choir, the school chorus, talent shows, etc. but didn't start performing in "bands" until she went to college in Blacksburg, VA in the late eighties. She eventually joined two friends in an acoustic trio called, "About Time". They played frequently in Blacksburg and then continued playing in Richmond after Susan moved back here, in the summer of 1996.
After moving back to Richmond, she felt the need to learn more guitar and eventually quit her day job to finish up a music degree at VCU and become a music teacher, singer/songwriter, guitarist.
She plays a mix of originals and covers and describes her music as, Folky, Blues, Acoustic Rock.
Her plans are to finish her CD and to play more shows with the studio band, The Susan DePhillip Band. Current she is in the bands, Midnight Traffic Jam and GNO-Girls Night Out. You can visit her website at: susandephillip.com

He describes his music as "Pork Neck Boogie" which is a sloppy mix of Blues, Country, Swing, Rock-n-Roll and Boogie. The Gear Grinders are Alex's back-up band. Nathan williams and Andre Carr live in Chesterfield County, VA. Both are originally from California. Nathan's been playing guitar, piano and mandolin while composing and producing his own music since he was 10 years old. He and Andre began their current musical project about a year ago when they acquired a drummer to become the Acoustic Roots. They describe their music as an "acoustic alternative blend" which includes a broad variety of covers and original songs. For the future, they want to build their fan base as much as possible as a run up to releasing their first album in 2013. Dane Ferguson hails originally from Halifax, Virginia. He began playing at age 4, starting with piano then eventually drums, guitar and almost anything else with strings. He describes his music as "Folk, Soul, Pop" and plays mostly originals. Dane is working on releasing his CD and after it is released he is planning on a small tour to remote the CD. Dane Ferguson hails originally from Halifax, Virginia. He began playing at age 4, starting with piano then eventually drums, guitar and almost anything else with strings. He describes his music as "Folk, Soul, Pop" and plays mostly originals. Dane is working on releasing his CD and after it is released he is planning on a small tour to remote the CD.
